Hello

My name is Katrina Levasseur Nedamat (She/Her)

Life throws us curveballs, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, lost, or simply unsure of our next steps. In those moments, having someone to lean on can make all the difference. That's where I come in.

With over a decade of experience in providing comprehensive psychotherapy services I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they navigate the complexities of their inner worlds. I employ a holistic approach to my work that considers the interconnectedness of personal, social, and environmental factors and meet people precisely where they are in their unique journey towards healing and self-discovery.

I specialize in addressing a range of experiences, including adjustment disorder, depression, anxiety, relationship dynamics, conflict management, grief and life transitions. I'm here to foster a safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore, reflect, and grow.

My Approach

Central to my approach is establishing a safe and collaborative relationship characterized by empathy, warmth, and open-curiosity. Holding space for your lived experiences to be heard, validated and supported. These pillars serve as the cornerstone for meaningful and transformative work.

Education + Professional Experience

With an Honours Bachelor's degree in Gender and Equity Studies from Queen's University and a Master's degree in Social Work my practice is deeply rooted in understanding and appreciating the intersectionality of individual experiences within broader social structures.

Drawing from a diverse range of therapeutic modalities and techniques, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Non violent communication (NVC) and solution-focused therapy, I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs to help cultivate the positive changes you’ve set out to explore.

More about me

When I’m not trying to figure out what to pack in my three kids lunch boxes or losing another card game to my 8 year old, I enjoy sharing a meal with close friends or having a cup of coffee with my partner early in the morning before the chaos of the day ensues. I’ve recently rekindled my love for movement and the ways it helps me connect with my body and mind to hold a sense of balance and intentionality in my life.
